The chessed/community service program at YULA Girls High School aims to encourage students to be meaningfully engaged in chessed in ways that foster their own independence. All Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are required to perform chessed throughout the school year. The school will provide a list of approved chessed activities.

In addition, our students participate in school led chessed trips and our student led Chessed Committee organizes various chessed opportunities on campus throughout the year.

Our students proudly volunteer with:

  • ETTA • Friendship Circle
  • Tomchei Shabbos
  • iShine/Chai Lifeline
  • Yachad
  • SCATCH Tutoring
  • Sharsheret
  • Shabbat Kits
  • Global Kindness
  • Bikur Cholim
  • Cedars Sinai Teen Volunteer
  • and more!
